Why “Aim for better”

Better and moving beats perfect and stuck.

Production that gets a little better every day always outperforms the perfect solution. Perfect gets stuck because it does not exist. What’s perfect for one part of a company rarely is for another. Aiming for better gets you moving on actual improvements, and those start to compound.

Aim for better is also about believing that something better is possible. That we can make a better world happen by improving what we have in front of us. In production that means better products, made safely, with less waste and lower emissions. Good for business and for the planet.

About

Aim for better is founded and run by me, Cecilia Svennberg. I’m an engineer from Chalmers with a master’s in innovation management. I won Female Leader Engineer in 2017, and have experience from both large multi-nationals and small scaleups. If you hire Aim for better AB, you hire me, or a skilled team pulled together through my network. I also work with AI agents, so one consultant can take on work that used to need a team.

My experience with scaling production comes from many angles. As Director of Production at DP Patterning I more than doubled weekly output. At HYBRIT I led the EU Innovation Fund application that brought in 143 MEUR for scaling fossil-free steel. At SSAB I ran the prestudy for a steel-powder plant scale-up now being built. Along the way I have managed both production personnel and engineers.
